Free Period Products - Argyll & Bute

Argyll and Bute Council has been providing access to free period products in the community and schools since 2018. This initiative is funded by the Scottish Government and is driven by the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021.  The Council has developed a way of providing period products free across communities in accordance with the law (Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021) (the Act). The Act places duties on the Council to provide free access to period products in a way that protects the dignity of anyone requiring them.
